How this project supported Ragdoll Foundation aims

Projects funded through Investing in Young Women explored how arts and cultural organisations could support gifted young women from disadvantaged backgrounds to develop their talents and skills with a view to embarking on careers in the arts and creative media.

This proposal took a focused, clear, and practical approach to working with a group of young female artists, and had the potential to make a significant difference to their opportunities within the artworld. The project’s focus on developing socially engaged practice, an area which can be particularly challenging for neurodiverse people, was significant because many visual artists earn their living through community arts engagement projects.
